Club World Cup: Man City’s winning trophy prize money is disclosed

Manchester City will receive the sum of £4million for winning this year’s Club World Cup trophy on Friday.

The Premier League champions beat Fluminense 4-0 in Jeddah to win the title.

It is their fifth trophy of 2023 and Pep Guardiola’s 14th during his time at the Etihad.

City earned £300million in prize money for winning the Treble last season.

Kemi Filani reported that before today, Pep Guardiola’s men had won the Premier League, FA Cup, Champions League and UEFA Super Cup.

City beat Arsenal to the league title and saw off rivals Manchester United in the final of the FA Cup.

A 1-0 win over Inter Milan ensured they won the Champions League for the first time ever.

As a result, they played the UEFA Super Cup against Sevilla and won via penalty shoot-out.

City have now added the Club World Cup to that haul.

The Premier League champions thrashed Fluminese 4-0 to win the trophy.

Julian Alvarez (brace), Phil Foden and an own goal ensured a comprehensive victory in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
