Carabao Cup: Carrick reveals why Middlesbrough beat Chelsea

By

Middlesbrough manager Michael Carrick has suggested that his team beat Chelsea in the Carabao Cup semi-final clash on Tuesday because his players were disciplined, tactically smart and showed some real quality and composure against the Blues.

DAILY POST recalls that the Championship side stunned Chelsea at home 1-0.

Carrick’s side will now hope to get a good result in the second leg against the Premier League club at Stamford Bridge in a fortnight.

“It was a really good night; hopefully we can create some more of them in the future,” Carrick said in his post-match interview.
