Manchester United legend, Rio Ferdinand has claimed that Chelsea attacker Christopher Nkunku will prove to be a fine addition to his club’s ranks.

Nkunku joined Chelsea from RB Leipzig in a £52 million deal last year.

The Frenchman has endured a tough start at the Blues.

He underwent a knee surgery soon after joining Mauricio Pochettino’s side and made his debut for them in an EFL Cup tie in December.

However, Nkunku is again set to be out for a while due to a recent hip issue.

“Nkunku will come good. I watched him play a lot in the Champions League. Proper player,” Ferdinand said (h/t The Chelsea Chronicle).

Nkunku was Bundesliga’s top goal-scorer last season.
